Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre is Nashville's most unique dining and entertainment experience - now in its 45th season serving the Nashville area with a premium professional theatre.

Your Chaffin's Barn experience begins the moment you enter the rustic barn doors and take a look around the inviting lobby. One of the friendly hosts will show you and your party into the dining room and take you to the table especially reserved for you. You know you're in for a relaxing, satisfying, enjoyable evening of food, fun and entertainment.

Once you're seated, one of the server/performers will take your beverage order. There's a variety of free soft drinks and a full service bar if you would like a glass of wine or a cocktail with dinner. Next, you'll help yourself to a garden fresh salad bar and Chaffin's sumptuous country-style buffet featuring numerous mouth-watering entrees and specially prepared side dishes. It's "all-you-care-to-eat," but be sure to save room for delicious desserts - all prepared fresh daily!

After dinner, the real "magic" begins. The lights dim and the stage descends from the ceiling to the center of the theatre, giving every audience member an excellent view of the action.

For the next two hours or so you'll be transported to another place and time by a talented cast of professional actors!

MODERN LOVE
January 12 - February 12

It's 1940, and "Modern Love" - a how-to guide for modern girls - is on the top of the bestseller list. But, what the world doesn't know is that its author, Rose Lavender, is really a handsome young bachelor. When a reporter from New York Daily Magazine comes to interview him, he recruits his modern-woman-on-the-go sister to play the fictional and traditional Rose Lavender. The reporter is an attractive young woman and sparks soon fly as she's too smart to be fooled by the ruse. Has the young bachelor met his match? Will the real Rose Lavender be exposed? And is romance in the air? MODERN LOVE is a screwball circus of dressing, cross-dressing and mistaken identity. The whiz-bang battle of the sexes has never been more fun!

This is a smart, funny musical revue about men and women who find themselves suddenly 50. Set in their neighborhood retro coffee shop, give characters express over 18 musical numbers the gamut of their frustrations and joys - from troublesome relations with still demanding parents and cutting edge technology...to finding delight in second careers and second chances...to getting smarter...and finally knowing that "age is just a number." The title celebrates life, finding fulfillment and being appreciated for exactly who you are - all the while getting a senior discount!

THE ODD COUPLE

Perhaps Neil Simon's best known and most loved play, THE ODD COUPLE centers on a pair of desperately mismatched roommates - one sloppy and one neat - who are arguably the most memorable pair of characters that the successful playwright has ever created. With Felix Unger - a neurotic fusspot news writer - and Oscar Madison - a slovenly sports journalist - the laughs are non-stop in this classic hit from one of America's greatest comedy writers.

THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB
August 23 - September 30

From the authors of previous Chaffin's Barn productions Dearly Beloved, Christmas Belles and 'Til Beth Do Us Part, this is the story of five southern women whose friendships began many years ago as teammates on their college swim team. Meeting each year at the same beach cottage on North Carolina's Outer Banks, their lives unfold and the years pass as these women increasingly rely on one another throgh advice and raucous repartee to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, aging) that life flings at them. And, when fate throws a wrench into one of their lives, these friends prove the enduring power of teamwork by rallying around their own with strength and love. THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB is the story of five unforgettable woman - a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever.

SPREADING IT AROUND
October 4 - November 11

This light-hearted comedy is about Angela Drayton - a wealthy widow in a retirement community. Tired of handing out money to her unappreciative children, she starts the "S.I.N. (Spending It Now) Foundation" to give to those truly in need. This terrifies her greedy son, driving him to devise a plan to have her committed. The bucks, the laughter and the bluster will all get spread around in this comedy production.

GLAD TIDINGS - A HOLIDAY MUSICAL COMEDY REVUE
November 15 - December 31

In the tradition of television comedy/variety shows, Chaffin's Barn presents its "live" version of a Christmas Special. With classic comedy sketches, beloved holiday tunes and quite a few surprises, this show is nuttier that the customary holiday fruitcake, sweeter than the traditional candy cane and funnier than any joke your Uncle Carl is going to bell at Christmas dinner!

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
