Come with us on a journey to explore a world of Aboriginal traditions and natural wonders in the Rocky Mountains! Imagine a getaway where you can learn the hands-on skills of our Native forefathers while learning about their culture and gaining a deeper understanding of the Aboriginal people.

Immerse yourself in the clean mountain air as you learn all about Aboriginal traditional navigation techniques. What if you were stuck in the wilderness with no compass or GPS? In this program, you will learn how our forefathers used to navigate using a sun compass, sun stick, and other useful tools. You will return home with not only a variety of fascinating skills, but also with the mental refreshment that only such an outdoor experience can produce!

Traditional Navigation Experience Information:

Included in your half day program is a snack such as an energy bar or trail mix and a soft drink.

Please keep in mind that our half day adventures are truly a half day. We develop our programs for those who desire a quality lesson, and therefore you should be prepared to spend at least four hours with your instructor when joining a half day program.

This program is held outdoors, so please make sure that you dress appropriately for the weather.

All participants must sign a liability waiver. Parents or guardians are required to sign for guests ages 17 and under.

Tour does not include hotel pick-up. After checking in for your tour in Canmore, you may have to drive up to 30 minutes to reach your tour departure location. Children ages 4 and under are free. Cancellation Policy

All sales are final. There are no refunds.

Change Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
