Aboriginal Canyon to Cave Adventure near Canmore

Come with us on a canyon and cave adventure to explore a world of Aboriginal traditions and natural wonders in the Rocky Mountains! Imagine a getaway where you can learn the hands-on skills of our Native forefathers while learning about their culture and gaining a deeper understanding of the Aboriginal people.

This tour explores the Grotto Canyon and Rat's Nest Cave. On the caving part of the adventure, we will explore a system of underground passages that have been etched and sculpted by glacier water over a period of thousands of years. You will return home with not only a variety of fascinating skills, but also with the mental refreshment that only such an exhilarating activity can produce!

Canyon to Cave Adventure Information:

Included in your full day program is a lunch that includes a sandwich, dessert, and soft drink.

Please keep in mind that our full day adventures are truly a full day. We develop our programs for those who desire a quality lesson, and therefore you should be prepared to spend at least six hours with your instructor when joining a full day program.

The canyon portion of the tour is held outdoors, so please make sure that you dress appropriately for the weather.

All specialty caving equipment is provided for the caving portion of the tour. Please dress (or bring extra clothes) appropriate for a caving adventure. You should consider wearing a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and boots that provide good traction. Please keep in mind that clothing may get wet or muddy during tour.

All participants must sign a liability waiver. Parents or guardians are required to sign for guests ages 17 and under.

Tour does not include hotel pick-up. After checking in for your tour in Canmore, you may have to drive up to 30 minutes to reach your tour departure location. Children under 10 are not permitted. Cancellation Policy

All sales are final. There are no refunds.

Change Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
